Antoinette M.

Export & Import Compliance Manager, Bechtel Procurement

Procurement isn’t just about buying materials. From the time a project begins until completion, it’s about getting the right things to the right place at the right time. As a compliance manager, it’s a daily challenge to develop procedures that take into account export regulations as well as our business needs. We’re expanding the suppliers we consider for many commodities and equipment, as well as the countries from which we source, such as China, India, and some in the Middle East. This in turn means additional regulatory requirements. I love this job because it’s exciting and challenging everyday.

Vicky E.

Employee Services Supervisor, Bechtel Business Services

I supervise the employee service center in Glendale, Arizona, where we answer questions employees have about salary, benefits, and retirement.
The biggest challenge I face is trying to anticipate what our employees really want and need, and providing them with all the information. Our goal is to make sure that employees feel the human touch with every e-mail or phone call.

For me, job satisfaction comes with knowing that my team provides excellent customer service, and that our employees are satisfied.
